I went to the UK last month to finalise the Acmat but my mechanic had not yet started http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.ph ... ight=acmat

So I now have to pay someone else $$$$$$$$ to finish it, but we are going to do a lot more work and make it a VCT . So I am now looking for a wreck in a scrapyard in France to find a few more pièces:

- 2 doors, old type (tubular)
- 3 foot steps
- 2 towing shackles
- 2 door latches (the bit on the door and the aluminium bit on the cab)
- 3 door chains
- 1 windscreen washer pump, bottle, jets etc
- fuel water trap that mounts on the cab
- 2 front wings

Je sais, je connais Mickael et j'ai déjà toutes celles ci.
Mais peut être en a t il d'autres. De plus il est toujours intéressant de suivre une restauration.
D'autant plus que j'ai aussi un acmat (mais en pire état !)

Le réservoir lave glace si c'est le gros cubique je dois avoir c'est comme les P4.

J'ai vu les épaves de 6x6 à vendre entre Toulouse et Montauban il y avait de quoi faire en pièces carrosserie mais je ne sais pas q'ils ne vendent que des bouts.

What parts do you need for yours as you never know what I will find in my travels. I got an operators manual last week and a few other bits

Your type of ACMAT is a little bite different of mine.

Your engine is a 6.354.0 perkins while mine is a 6.354.4.
You may have a Chrysler gear box, I have a ZF gear box.

For the rest, it could be approximately the same thing.

So, I try to find a Perkins Phaser engine (about 210hp) to replace mine.

In an over time, I try to recover a crew cab... because they are 5 !

Now you got me thinking..... what is the difference between a 6.354.0 and a 6.354.4?

One of the Irish guys fitted a Ford truck gearbox in and it seems a 5 speed will fit, so I am hoping it is so. Do you have the gearbox model numbers, for Chrysler and ZF?

Which model Phaser would you opt for?

I just emailed him so will see if we can get some pictures.

A pity as a few months back there was 2 or 3 6x6 wrecks in a scrapyard and I pondered to long.

The 3.354.4 is more recent than the .0.

The Pahser had been build in 185 and 210 hp, but I'm not really sure.

When you change the engine or the gear box (4 gear to 5 or 6) you have to modifie more and more details on the châssis.

Sean (Protacman) fitted a Ford gearbox into his dual cab Acmat, so I have been searching the different versions of that box. Maybe can, maybe cannot, but worth a look

Also found someone with a stash of NOS parts in the UK, once I get a list I will send to you and JR as may be some interesting bits

The first one is a new version of ACMAT VLRA1 (with turbo engine). It's only 3 or 4 year old. But for the price....

The second one is the same as yours, but no hope to find one pièce of truck without rust !!!

yes it is a high price for a vehicle only good for spare parts. For 2000 I would buy to cut up as some of the cab is useful, doors and mechanicals. Given you can get newer models at Army auctions the price is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ pity

J'ai des baches de caisse occasion pour acmat, je dirais pour du 4.20 elles font 2m80 de long.

I have Acmat covers (short rear body only, 2m80), used but in good condition, some repairs to do (I can make), no cut.

Still nothing exciting for Acmats:
